Job description

Responsibilities

This is a hybrid role that would require team members to come onsite once per month in either La Crosse, WI or Rosemont, IL.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Designs, develops and deploys new custom software with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide.
  • Produces clean, efficient, well-commented code based on requirements and design.
  • Analyzes, designs, generates and maintains SQL databases, stored procedures and other database objects.
  • Troubleshoots complex processes, diagnoses the root cause and provides a stable solution without incurring technical debt.
  • Produces accurate and clear documentation, both technical documents for the development team and user guides. Communicates these appropriately to the user base as needed.
  • Helps maintain the backlog of requests and ideas, provides analysis and feedback regarding effort and risk, and helps refine tasks and prioritize and plan work.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 5% of the time
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and minimum 6 plus years of experience in a combination of the following areas: application and system development and integration, data modeling/querying/analysis, database management and design, and technical documentation OR High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and 9 plus years of the above stated experience

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Highly proficient in T-SQL, knowledgeable in SSRS
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages with preference in C# or C++
  • Experience with CSS, HTML5 and Bootstrap
  • UI experience with Razor, JavaScript and jQuery
