Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a CA license and at least 2 years of cath lab experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Details
  • Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of an acute care hospital
  • Case volume varies from 0 to 5-6 cases per day
  • Cath Lab Techs handle scrubbing duties while RNs circulate
  • Uses Cerner, Sensis, and Merge charting/imaging systems
  • GE equipment used in the lab
  • Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 9:30a-8p
  • Candidates must be flexible for cases starting earlier or later than scheduled
  • Possible on-call responsibilities
  • STEMI cases are transferred to a nearby facility in Turlock, CA
Requirements
  • Active CA RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
  • Experience with PCIs, peripherals, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filters required
  • Must be experienced enough to help train new nurses
  • Knowledge of balloon pumps required
  • STEMI experience is a plus
  • BSN not required for this position
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

  • Assist in training new nurses on the unit
