JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Sr. Chemical Engineer/Oxford, CT

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Solve technical problems supporting Manufacturing/Production.
  • Manage technical projects to completion. This may include plating processes, corrective actions, new product launches, machine repairs, lean activities, designing tooling as required, etc.
  • Develop plating processes and train applicable personnel on plating concepts/processes
  • Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to on-going chemical reactions.
  • Troubleshoot problems with chemical/plating manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform tests and monitor performance of processes.
  • Design and plan layout of equipment.
  • Develop/Maintain plating production costs
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the job.

EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering with 5 to 8 years or equivalent through experience and/or education to the satisfactory of management. EHS waste disposal experience, chemical engineering experience and or plating experience preferred.
