Regional Business Development Manager - Healthcare

Supporting Elderwood’s Buffalo and Rochester Regions

Full-time

Build Partnerships. Develop Markets. Drive Regional Growth.

Elderwood is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to support skilled nursing facilities across the Buffalo and Rochester regions. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Manager, this position will develop referral relationships, strengthen existing markets, identify new business opportunities, and help facilities achieve census and payer-mix objectives.

We are especially interested in candidates who bring consultative sales and market-development experience from commercial or residential real estate, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, property development, or another relationship-driven industry. A real-estate background may translate particularly well to this opportunity: success requires strong territory knowledge, disciplined prospecting, market analysis, relationship building, and the ability to move complex opportunities forward.

Why Your Real-Estate Experience May Be a Strong Fit

Professionals from real estate often bring highly transferable business-development skills, including:

  • Building and managing a geographic territory
  • Developing referral and professional networks
  • Prospecting for new business
  • Conducting local market and competitive analysis
  • Assessing client needs and presenting tailored solutions
  • Managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Establishing trust within local communities
  • Tracking opportunities, follow-up activity, and results

Healthcare or skilled nursing experience is valuable, but candidates with strong business-development performance in real estate or another relationship-centered industry are encouraged to apply.

Regional Scope and Travel

This role supports Elderwood skilled nursing facilities and business-development activity across the Buffalo and Rochester regions. Regular travel to facilities, referral sources, accounts, meetings, and community events is required.

The successful candidate must be able to manage a broad regional territory and maintain a visible presence in both markets. A flexible schedule is also required for occasional evening or weekend meetings and events.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $65,000–$85,000
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • Career advancement opportunities

If you are a relationship-driven business-development professional who knows how to evaluate markets, build networks, and create sustainable growth, apply today to help expand Elderwood’s presence across the Buffalo and Rochester regions.
