Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist Intern to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Genesis New Beginnings Behavioral Health is a privately owned outpatient mental health group. We are dedicated to promoting the well-being of everyone. We are looking to make a difference within the community and provide accessible, quality mental health care for all. We emphasize compassion, respect, trust, and confidentiality. We are looking to create a comfortable and positive environment for patients, clinicians as well as staff! Our priority is patient care!
We are looking for full-time and/or part-time fully licensed interns, CPC-I, MFT-I, CSW-I for our Las Vegas office located in the Southwest Valley. 
Therapist Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients for mental health disorders.
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide psychotherapy, counseling, and treatment as necessary.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
  • Refer patients to specialists or agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings, progress, and any necessary documentation needed to ensure on-going treatment.
  • Follow all safety protocols, maintain client confidentiality, adhere to all HIPPA requirements.
  • Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
