Your future role at a glance

Location: Carmel, IN

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center

Department/Specialty: Cardiac Services | Cardiovascular Operating Room

Schedule: Full Time Days | Four 10 hour shifts

How you'll make an impact in this role

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of cardiovascular and/or neuro surgical procedures.

  • Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
  • Assist surgeons' provision of hemostasis during surgery.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need

Prefer at least 2 yrs CV OR experience.
