Riverside Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Network Engineer to work in multiple states, nationwide. If you like working in a fast-paced environment and have great customer service skills, we welcome your application!


Job Summary:

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing equipment installation plans based on the Network Administrator's specifications, maintaining each component of the network, and troubleshooting issues. RTI has multiple levels of engineers with various responsibilities, including:

  • Designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing RTI’s customers’ local and wide area networks
  • Maximizing uptime for users
  • Modifying and repairing networks
  • Supporting computer hardware and software


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing onsite and/or remote support, including hardware and networking support for customers’ networks, routers, switches, and servers
  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, and DNS and DHCP, as well as configuring LAN’s, firewalls and updating network equipment to the latest firmware
  • Monitoring networking activity, investigating faults in the network, responding to network issues, and resolving any communication issues for our customers
  • Working with OEM’s, distributors, third-party support, and service vendors to ensure that the network meets performance expectations
  • Providing technical assistance and support for incoming issues related to networking equipment, computer systems, and hardware
  • Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionally with the customer about important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion
  • Updating the network documentation and communicating to project team and customer
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in networking and security management, computer science, or related field is preferred.
  • Network Certifications highly desired: Network+, Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, Extreme, Fortinet, CompTIA and HP certifications
  • Knowledge of Fiber, CAT 5e, 6, 6A is a plus
  • 1 year in field service support role supporting a variety of hardware and networking equipment
  • 3+ years' experience in network architecture and deployment is highly desired
  • Ability to travel. Position can be up to 50% travel, both in and out of state, including overnight stays
  • Must be available for varying shifts depending on customers’ needs
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor, and dress
  • Must have exceptional driving record and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
  • Must have ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights of 3-40 ft.
