Network/System Engineer
National Convenience Distributors serves customers in the Northeastern United States as the 4th largest full-line convenience store distributor. This position is responsible for the daily operations of Technology - Network Operations, Voice/Data communications, Server Infrastructure used within J.Polep Distribution Services, located in Chicopee, MA, a division of NCD. This individual would serve as the Senior System Engineer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for all components within the IT Infrastructure; Firewalls, Security Appliances, VMWare, Cisco Networking and Compute.
  • Maintain and Optimize Connectivity between locations
  • Support and Maintain DR Connectivity
  • Maintain and Optimize Phone System with Vendor Support
  • Periodic reviews of Security Policies to ensure all remain in compliance with Vendors
  • General Support of all Network & Server issues

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & LICENSES:
  • Bachelor's degree or Related IT Certifications
  • Equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 5+ years of IT Experience
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Security Knowledge
  • Networking
  • VMWare
  • IBM Hardware a plus
  • Cisco Meraki Networking & Wireless

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose technology issues quickly
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
