Overview of position:

We are looking for a Network Engineer Architect, Journeyman to work in Indianapolis, IN.

An active Top-Secret clearance and United States Citizenship are required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

ยท Provide network engineering support for DFAS CCE infrastructure

ยท Support maintenance of network architecture documentation

ยท Assist with security infrastructure operations (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, DNSSEC)

ยท Support web proxy and content filtering operations

ยท Assist with network security troubleshooting

ยท Implement DISA STIG configurations under senior guidance

ยท Support vulnerability scanning and remediation activities

ยท Document network changes and configurations

ยท Participate in change control processes

ยท Support COOP exercises and testing

Experience/Skills:

ยท 5+ years network engineering experience

ยท Security X (formerly CASP+) certification

ยท Knowledge of enterprise network security technologies

ยท Experience with firewall and IDS/IPS systems

ยท Understanding of DNS and DNSSEC

ยท Familiarity with DISA STIG requirements

ยท Network troubleshooting skills

ยท Experience with network documentation

ยท Knowledge of DoD security requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

ยท CISSP certification (upgrade path)

ยท Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification

ยท Experience with DFAS or DoD networks

ยท Prior classified network experience

ยท Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)

ยท Cloud networking fundamentals

Education:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

Certifications:

ยท CompTIA Security X (CASP) or equivalent

Clearance:

ยท Active Top-Secret clearance is required.

ยท Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
