Summary

Provides pre-sales technical engineering support to Account Executives and clients as an integral part of the full sales process.Focuses on technical solutions for mid-size and enterprise accounts and works closely with clients to determine how Logicalis solutions can best serve their needs. Conducts in-depth assessments and functions as subject matter expert to design complex client solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages in opportunities as subject matter expert to design and scope complex solutions and components of Logicalis services.

  • Conducts in-depth assessments, studies, and/or surveys to obtain data; analyzes data to advise and recommend multi-faceted solutions.

  • Participates in client pre-sales calls around Logicalis services; works with Account Executives to develop client proposals.

  • Qualifies, from technical perspective, new business opportunities or requirements within existing and prospective clients to ensure alignment with target markets, portfolio, and delivery and lifecycle services capabilities.

  • Writes complex Statements of Work (SOWs) for Logicalis services.

  • Drives sales process with focus on solution design phase.

  • Develops knowledge of client's environment to facilitate integration recommendations.

  • Prepares and performs product demonstrations.

  • Broadens engagements with enterprise clients by promoting, defining, and positioning Logicalis services fromentire portfolio as appropriate to client requirements.

  • Works with Sales/Project Management to define roadmaps and milestones for Project and Delivery teams.

  • Provides technical direction to Sales Engineers and Solution Architects required to resolve very complex issues which ensure on-time delivery of client solutions.

  • Provides consulting to Sales Engineers, Solution Architects and service delivery team members to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

  • Defines and guides delivery of effective reporting and analytics.

  • Communicates complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences in proposals and in-person presentations.

  • Provides consulting advice to client senior leadership, especially IT leadership.

  • Provides product and/or solution training for Logicalis Sales teams and clients.

  • Mentors Logicalis team members.

  • Demonstrates outstanding communication and documentation skills.

  • Works on several different complex client projects concurrently.

  • Keeps abreast of latestsolutions and services Logicalis offers.

  • Establishes deep relationships with clients by demonstrating excellent listening skills.

  • Builds credibility and trust by delivering what has been promised within established timeframes.

  • Participates in regional and national events and regional team meetings.

  • Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.

Education/Experience/Technical Requirements/Certifications

Equivalent combination accepted.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, management disciplines, or related field.

Experience / Technical Requirements

  • 7 years in technical pre-sales role with experience in:

  • Implementation planning, design and support of Cisco Networking and Cisco Security solutions

  • Designing Cisco Data Center switching, routing and campus wireless solutions.

  • Designing Cisco Security Solutions.

  • Complementary skills of Other OEM (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, Arista) implementation and design experience is valuable.

  • Cisco Commerce tools (CCW) and other solution design tools.

  • Experience developing enterprise-wide solutions.

  • Strong experience combining products and services into technology solutions that meet client's business needs.

  • Deep experience in business case development.

  • Consulting background focused on Cisco solutions.

  • Cisco technical background - particularly around Core Route/Switch technologies.

  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office and Visio applications

Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise or Security preferred

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
