Summary/Function:
Directly support D.A. Davidson’s computer networks to contribute to an effective and efficient working environment throughout the Companies. Support Davidson Employees with ticket resolution in technology areas supported by the Networking and voice Teams.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in field of specialty or 2 years' experience work experience in network management & support. 
•    Solid understanding of WAN/LAN technology, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting 
•    Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6 and related network services (e.g. DHCP and DNS)
•    Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, or Avaya experience (Preferred)
•    CCNA level or higher Switching/Routing (Preferred)
•    Cisco or other industry routing and switching certifications (Preferred)
•    Understanding of Network security and firewall concepts 
•    Experience with Layer 2/3 Switching required
•    Proficient computer skills and knowledge of software packages and their applications to include Microsoft Office and Microsoft operating systems.
•    Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate technical directions, both in person and over the phone.
•    Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and various management levels.
•    Familiar with department policies, processes and procedures.
•    Consistently treat others with respect and maintain professional attitude and behavior.
•    Ability to work a variety of shifts.
•    Ability to safely lift and carry as much as 35 pounds.
•    Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
•    Self-motivated and self-directed.
•    Organized and detail oriented.
•    Follow policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality.

Duties:
•    Directly support D.A. Davidson’s data and voice networks which may include but is not limited to patching, testing, installing, upgrading, providing end user training, monitoring network performance, working with vendor support and sales.
•    Creating documentation for end users and IT staff.
•    Install and support company VoIP solutions
•    Install and support phone systems deployed across the enterprise
•    Manage IT incidents and ticket management
•    Troubleshoot various networking issues
•    Learn and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Attend scheduled meetings or training sessions around existing or new policies and/or procedures. Recommend changes to IT procedures to improve productivity and/or reduce costs. Participate in policy or procedure meetings. Review and update specific policies considered an area of expertise.
•    Attend internal and external meetings as requested to provide expertise. Train end users and receive network training as directed. Assist with projects as needed.
•    Assist in attaining performance goals set by management such as but not limited to maintaining uptime, generating reports, and assisting with resolution of support issues.
•    Assist with and/or assume responsibility for the completion of project tasks, as directed. Participate in project management meetings around areas of expertise. May be required to lead projects or assume significant project management roles.
•    Ensure work on tasks and special projects are completed within budget limits. Assist with tasks to prepare annual budget and budgeting for special projects. Review and potentially prepare drafts of portion of the IT budget relating to areas of administration as directed by management.
•    Keep current with new data networking and IT solutions. Maintain technical certifications relevant to work responsibilities. Receive additional training as directed. Train end users as directed. 
•    Understand an adhere to the IT Change Management process
•    Perform any other tasks as assigned.
