The Large Loss Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful financial outcome of large-scale mitigation, contents, reconstruction, and abatement projects across the United States. The Large Loss Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and completion of assigned projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy and goals. Additionally, the Large Loss Project Manager is expected to develop their own national book of business through end users and referral sources, securing new projects through networking activities.
Large Loss Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with a team of project managers to ensure the successful delivery of mitigation, contents,
  • reconstruction, and abatement projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, estimates, budgets, and work plans.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient
  • utilization.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure successful project
  • delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as
  • necessary.
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with project specifications and
  • industry standards.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer
  • satisfaction and secure future business.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Estimate, bid, and monitor the progress of large loss, water, fire, smoke, and other projects.
  • Travel as required to manage and inspect project sites and attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.

Large Loss Project Manager Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction or restoration project management, with a focus on large loss disaster restoration.
  • Advanced Xactimate Certification (Level 3) preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mitigation, contents, reconstruction,
  • and abatement projects.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple
  • projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with insurance restoration repairs and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong networking and business development skills, with the ability to develop a national book
  • of business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and project team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage emotional customer situations and respond promptly.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to react well under pressure.
  • Must be reliable, on time, and able to prioritize and plan work activities effectively.
