Job description

Manager of Network Engineering (Fortigate and Azure) Location: United States Category: Information Technology Employment Type: Hybrid Symbiotic Services is seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager of Network Engineering to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This technical leadership role involves overseeing a team of network engineers, driving complex networking projects, and ensuring robust network security and performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations and provide technical mentorship to the network engineering team.

Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems. Act as a senior escalation point for advanced network issues and root cause analysis. Implement network monitoring and performance tuning to maintain high availability.

Collaborate with cybersecurity on network security policies and compliance. Manage lifecycle upgrades for networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). Architect and deploy hybrid cloud networking solutions (Azure, AWS, etc.)

Work cross-functionally with application, server, and security teams. Maintain documentation and network diagrams. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate hardware/software support.

Lead major projects including office expansions and data center/cloud migrations. Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed. Qualifications: Extensive experience with FortiGate Firewalls, Aruba, Meraki, Arista, and Azure Cloud Networking.

Deep knowledge of Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Firewalls, VPN Gateways, Azure BGP, VNET/Subnetting. Strong routing/switching expertise (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, VLANs, STP). Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and VPNs.

Proficient with network automation, scripting, and monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, LogicMonitor). Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 12+ years of network engineering experience with 3-5 years in a leadership role. Additional Details: Must be authorized to work in the U.S
