Job description

Network Operations Center Analyst
The Opportunity:
The ESOC Engineer oversees the monitoring, troubleshooting, and management of network and infrastructure services in a fast-paced, 24x7 mission-critical environment. They provide technical support to escalated issues, ensuring quick resolution of any issues affecting enterprise services.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, quick to learn, and proven in fast-paced, collaborative environments. Strong IT skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving service issues efficiently using networking tools, coordinating with service owners to resolve disruptions, and working with the Service Desk to identity potential wide spread issues and ensure a rapid escalation. The position requires working in a shift-based environment.
Monitor and troubleshoot incident management of the network and services in a 24x7 fast-paced environment. Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure quick resolution of all problems with the network, infrastructure, and services offered by our organization. Troubleshoot and resolve customer and services issues in a timely and efficient manner using various networking tools. ESOC Engineers work in shifts, and this position is expected to support operations Wednesday through Saturday from 6am to 4pm Eastern. As we transition towards Agentic Infrastructure Operations and Monitoring, this position will be instrumental in identifying AI-driven opportunities and implementing leveraging AI tools to enhance issue detection and facilitate automated problem resolution. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical operations environment
  • Experience developing basic scripts
  • Experience with technical customer support
  • Knowledge of Linux and UNIX, Windows, and Networks
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts
  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
  • Ability to support a 6am to 4pm, Wednesday through Saturday shift
  • Associate's degree or 2+ years of experience in IT operations and incident management in lieu of a degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
