The Impact you will have in this role:

The Enterprise Production Support Network team is responsible for maintaining the highest level of availability and performance of infrastructure across the enterprise.  Responsibilities span across all ITSM areas (Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Delivery).  It also includes representing infrastructure services on projects and enterprise-wide efforts like Disaster Recover and Network modernization.  It requires collaboration between operations, engineering, and architecture to maintain existing infrastructure as well as modernizing technology.
 

Your Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Administer and provide 24x7 support all areas of the DTCC enterprise network including campus, WAN, DMZs, and extranets. 
  • Implement, and support new technologies within the network environment.
  • Spearhead troubleshooting efforts with external clients, internal clients, and major incident management teams. 
  • Assist with key projects and deliverables, including pre & post implementation testing and planning. 
  • Coordinate scheduling and implementation of system maintenance, release updates, hardware upgrades, and/or new technology deployments adhering to stringent change management policies and maintenance windows. 
  • Execute performance and statistical monitoring to develop procedures and best practices which improve overall environment.
  • Manages risk across the environment including scheduling maintenance and implementation of changes.
  • Handles system events or major incidents with urgency. Escalates as appropriately required. 
  • Maintain documentation including baseline standards, processes, and procedures. Keep documents up to date and in compliance with emerging industry standards.
  • Support DDoS and penetration testing as well as any required remediation efforts. 
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Networking Operational and Engineering skills in a global enterprise environment focused on Layer 2 & 3, DNS, Load Balancing, and security. 
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues. 
  • Solid foundation of networking software & hardware including layer 2 and layer 3 protocols.
  • Experience with F5 load balancers, Infoblox DNS and Palo Alto Firewalls is desired. 
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with stringent service levels.
  • Risk minded, with the ability to work independently and as a team. 
  • Hands-on knowledge of managing ITSM ticket, including incident, change, problem management (prefer SNOW)
  • Flexibility to work overtime and on non-scheduled days on occasion. 
  • CCNA Certification or demonstration of equivalent knowledge. 
  • Experience working in a global enterprise for a financial services company is a plus. 
  •  Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and the ability to analyze packet captures.
