Job description

Senior Manager Network Operations
As the Senior Manager of Network Operations, you will spearhead a high-performing team responsible for the standardization, modernization, and governance of our network program documentation. We are seeking a process-driven leader who excels at simplifying complex operational environments, championing automation to drive efficiency, and maintaining rigorous standards for technical documentation quality.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Strategy: Manage and mentor a team of technical writers and business analysts, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Documentation Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end management of network program documentation, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Process Governance: Develop and enforce departmental procedures and internal controls to ensure strict adherence to governance models
  • Release Communication: Lead the network release communication and approval strategy, coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure professional and consistent messaging
  • Innovation & Automation: Champion the evolution of documentation software and communication tools; identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows and eliminate redundancies
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts to refine content, standardize templates, and verify documentation deliverables

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience in payment network operations
  • At least 3 years of experience in process improvement or workflow optimization
  • At least 3 years of people leadership and performance management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or process improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile)
  • Proven experience with modern documentation software and automation tools applied to quality assurance

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Sales Territory: $161,500 - $184,300 for Senior Manager Network Operations (GPN)
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Senior Manager Network Operations (GPN)
Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Senior Manager Network Operations (GPN)
Riverwoods, IL: $161,500 - $184,300 for Senior Manager Network Operations (GPN)
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
