US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.


Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing networks.
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure networks meet documented user requirements.

Operational Management

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
  • Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Must have experience with Viasat KG's to include 142's, 250X's, 250XS, 255, and 175F.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
  • 50% travel will be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of network administration experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET.
  • BA/BS degree - may substitute additional years of experience.
  • Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
  • Must meet DOW 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges.
  • Can demonstrate Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
  • Network experience includes DMVPN with IPSEC tunnels.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work
  • Highly organized with strong ability to prioritize work and work autonomously

  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
  • Experience with ISE, TACACS + and Radius.

  • Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices.

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $95,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
