The Senior Network Engineer will work as part of UltraViolet Cyber's delivery team to our enterprise customer. The Senior Network Engineer will have the opportunity to lead and interact with onshore & offshore teams in support of this multi-cloud, multi-site environment. There is no on-call rotations in this opportunity and will require onsite presence.
What You'll Do:
  • Track and diagnose LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructures issues.
  • Participating in network refreshes, network migrations, and ISP cutovers.
  • Upgrade firmware/Software of network devices.
  • Manage asset inventory including EOL,EOS status.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams and collaborating with other IT departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Act as final point of escalation for complex incidents and critical outages.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network issues.
  • Lead design, migration, and upgrade projects across Cisco and Palo alto platforms.
  • Accountable for overseeing data centre installations, addressing operational issues, and managing support tickets.
  • Troubleshoot & manage on-Prem to cloud connectivity.
  • Provide architectural inputs for upcoming technological implementations.
  • Develop and publish SOPs, HLDs and LLDs, detailed network diagrams.
  • Handling the escalations from NOC L1, L2 and the global network team.
  • Review and recommend improvements to the existing network infrastructure.
  • Engaging vendors as required for ongoing issues.
  • Define SOPs, runbooks, and best practices for network operations.
  • Continually assessing the region's network capacity and availability.
What You've Done:
  • 1.Routing & Switching Expertise:
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, SD-WAN(VELOCLOUD) including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Ability to design and support LAN/WAN, WLAN infrastructures.
  • Certifications Preferrable - CCNP,CCIE.
 
  • 2. Firewall & Security Management:
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Understanding of VPNs, ACLs, IDS/IPS, Global protect and network segmentation.
  • Ability to implement and troubleshoot secure access controls and policies.
 
  • 3.Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi):
  • Design, deployment, and troubleshooting of enterprise-grade Wi-Fi networks(Preferably- Juniper MIST)
  • Hands-on with controllers, APs, and WLAN standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
  • Familiarity with site surveys.
 
  • 4. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools:
  • Skilled with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, DDI/IPAM.
  • Ability to analyze logs, capture packets, and perform root-cause analysis quickly.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software network issues.
 
  • 5. Cloud & Hybrid Networking Knowledge:
  • Understanding of AWS,GCP networking services (VPCs, Direct Connect, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute. Etc).
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies for branch connectivity.
  • Ability to integrate on-premises and cloud networks securely.

$80,000 - $100,000 a year

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors.
