What you can expect
This role leads global network infrastructure and data center operations supporting over 10,000 employees and AI/ML training infrastructure. The manager oversees a team of 12 globally distributed network engineers and data center technicians. The team is operating in a follow-the-sun model to provide continuous coverage, while partnering closely with the Network and Infrastructure Architects to execute strategic initiatives.
About the Team
As a global team we design, automate, and optimize IT infrastructure, focusing on cloud operations, networking, and security. We leverage IaC, automation, and CI/CD to streamline network operations and management, partnering with business stakeholders to improve the user experience.
Responsibilities
  • Leading, managing and developing a globally distributed team of 12 network engineers and data center technicians. Driving recruitment, performance management, career development planning, and compensation reviews while supporting 24/7 follow-the-sun coverage.
  • Operating global WAN, metro area networks, and campus LAN infrastructure across 15+ office locations and multiple data centers. Managing Juniper routing and switching platforms with hands-on configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Managing wireless infrastructure including controller management, campus deployments, mobility services, wireless security, and RF engineering. Optimizing WAN architecture for performance, redundancy, cost-efficiency, and global connectivity. Supporting cloud interconnectivity strategies across AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and GCP Cloud Interconnect. Drive network automation initiatives using infrastructure-as-code principles with Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
  • Operating global routing architecture including BGP (iBGP, eBGP), MPLS, and SD-WAN. Manage Palo Alto Networks firewall infrastructure including Panorama management and policy optimization alongside Zscaler and Prisma web proxies.
  • Managing comprehensive network performance monitoring and observability platforms. Designing custom dashboards and alerting for network health, capacity, latency, throughput, and availability metrics using telemetry protocols including gRPC, NETCONF, SNMP, sFlow, and NetFlow.
  • Providing infrastructure support for high-performance AI/ML training workloads. Optimizing network topology and traffic engineering for GPU clusters (100+ GPUs), collective communications (all-reduce, all-gather), and rail-optimized architectures in partnership with ML Engineering and AI Platform teams.
  • Overseeing global data center operations including colocation facilities, dense GPU deployments with specialized power and cooling requirements. Vendor relationship management, incident response, change control, and capacity planning with consideration for long-running training jobs.

What we're looking for
  • Have 10+ years of network engineering and data center expertise, with 5+ years in technical team leadership,
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with Juniper, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks (Panorama, Prisma), and deep knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks, network segmentation, and identity-aware security solutions.
  • Demonstrate advanced routing and WAN architecture skills including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, IPv6 dual-stack operations. Cloud interconnectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in wireless architecture, RF engineering, and network observability using Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Have specialized AI/ML infrastructure experience with high-performance networking for GPU clusters (InfiniBand, RDMA, RoCE, lossless Ethernet), colocation and data center operations, and vendor relationship management at scale.
  • Have proven leadership of globally distributed teams across multiple time zones. Have a a track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects ($1M+), complex network transformations, and data center migrations from planning through execution.
  • Have well-developed developed cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences. Able to collaborate with architecture and security teams, and produce high-quality documentation including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications. Be results-driven, strategic, and hands-on, with expertise in automation, reliability, and operational excellence, combined with resilience under pressure, curiosity, and a customer-focused mindset.

Maximum:
$339,300.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
