ChristianaCare is looking to add another outstanding physician to join its Center for Special Health Care Needs in Wilmington, DE. Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) and Family Medicine physicians who love outpatient work are urged to apply. ChristianaCare's Center for Special Health Care Needs is a center of excellence for those patients with childhood onset medical and social complexities. There are 1.7 million Americans with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and 107,102 individuals over the age of 18 years with one or more disabilities reside in in the State of Delaware.
Highlights:
  • Join the regions only established primary care program within ChristianaCare's Center for Special Healthcare Needs
  • Enjoy the support of a multidisciplinary team including social work, care coordination, and advanced practice clinicians
  • Enjoy one-hour new patient appointments and 40 minute follow-ups
  • Focus on primary care of populations with special health care needs including those transitioning population from Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and other pediatric practices, and those adult populations with sickle cell, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, autism and others
  • Opportunity for advancement as practice's Clinical Leader
  • Work out of a brand-new space! Grand opening July 28th!

Responsibilities:
  • Enjoy part-time (0.5 FTE), Monday-Friday work schedule
  • Light call (6 weeks of phone call per year, Friday - Friday); Phone calls only.
  • Clinical sessions are 4 hours with 6-7 patients per session
  • Teach residents, participate in state-wide advocacy efforts, and conduct research as able

The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position, including, but not limited to, productivity incentives, value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked, call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or, less frequently, may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
