The position:

Responsible and accountable to supervise and ensure the streamlined operations within the IT Operations for all PAC network and system administrative staff members. Plans, coordinates, direct, and designs IT network related activities. Works closely with the IT executive/leadership staff and decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

ResponsibilitiesWhat We're looking for:Network Operations
  • Supervise the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT network based systems, including server hardware, server applications, operating systems and all other related technologies.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations to the Global Network Operations Manager & other IT leaders for the improvement and growth of the network infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Oversee operations-related projects and project portfolio.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies
Department Supervision
  • Supervise financial aspects of the IT Department, including planning and purchasing and assisting in budget review.
  • Manage operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Supervise staff's provision of end-user service delivery & support.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of IT resources – including personnel and equipment – across all regions.
  • Supervise IT department operational planning/projects.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Assist in development and implementation of functional policies and procedures.
  • Practice asset management for IT network operations hardware, software and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong technical knowledge of network operating systems, including all MS Windows & Linux based platforms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
  • Demonstrated application support experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages.
  • Extensive and proven track record in IT Security principles & understanding and application of IT Workplace Law.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets and so on.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.

QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field is preferred or a demonstrated 4+ years equivalent work‑experience in a network operations and support team.
  • 5+ years, hands on/working experience on a global network operations service and support team.
  • 5+ years experience of dealing with hardware/software vendors and suppliers in various global geographic locations.
  • Certifications in Microsoft (MCSE) or Cisco (CCNA) a must. Any training/qualification in UNIX/Linux, Apple
  • Mac, ITIL, Prince desired but not mandatory.
  • ITIL Service Management qualification is strongly desired.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • May require travel of up to 25%, both domestic and internationally.

The salary range of $119,000 to $200,000is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum.
