Job description

About the role:
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment and use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open source media, Internet, and in-house tools. The SOC Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents, which may impact the client's people, products, property, or brand image. The SOC Operator reports to the SOC Manager.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
• Conduct monitoring functions on a wide range of issues pertaining to global security such as petty and violent crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, travel issues, reputational concerns, and socio-economic dynamics
• Engage in proactive efforts to mitigate risk and inform field personnel of operational concerns in advance
• Investigate alarms and respond by sending patrol or alerting Emergency Services as needed
• Coordinate corporate response by distribution of advisories and other communications
• Follow procedures for managing a variety of issues, from minor incidents handled at the local level to global crises
• Perform other related duties as required
As a candidate you must have:
• Associate's degree or two plus years work experience in military, law enforcement, government, or corporate security
• Proficiency in PC and iOS hardware and software including word processing, data analysis, presentation, and mapping programs
• General knowledge of security systems including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and CCTV
• Complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
• Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
• Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team when needed
