Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment. This is an onsite position supporting critical network infrastructure across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network administration, routing protocols, Cisco technologies, and troubleshooting complex network issues within an enterprise environment.

As part of a team of Network Technicians and Engineers, you will help maintain and optimize enterprise network operations, resolve outages, and support mission-critical networking equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network devices.
  • Support a large-scale network consisting of routers, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and WAN acceleration technologies.
  • Work closely with Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network outages and performance issues.
  • Perform network administration activities utilizing command-line interfaces.
  • Configure and support routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
  • Create, manage, and update maintenance and incident tickets using HPE Service Manager.
  • Escalate issues as appropriate and perform additional technical tasks as directed.
  • Follow established processes, procedures, and security policies.
  • Support onsite troubleshooting efforts and serve as a field technical resource when network issues require in-person resolution.
  • Collaborate with regional and site leadership to ensure reliable network operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
  • CCNA certification or ability to obtain CCNA within six months of hire.
  • Strong network engineering and network administration experience.
  • Experience supporting Cisco routers and Cisco switches.
  • Experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies.
  • Working knowledge of BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
  • Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Familiarity with TACLANE encryption devices.
  • Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model.
  • Experience using network command-line interfaces for configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following experience requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant network engineering experience with no degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience

Experience supporting enterprise environments that include technologies such as:

  • Cisco
  • Aruba
  • Brocade
  • Juniper
  • Riverbed
  • McAfee network security solutions
Work Environment
  • 100% onsite position

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
