Job Description:
  • Experienced network engineer in a corporate environment.
  • Past experience in planning, procurement, designing, developing, configuring and commissioning federal networks and associated systems for network monitoring and incident management.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.
  • Expert in troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems, and determining the most appropriate means of resolving problems and issues to improve network performance.
  • Enhanced ability to monitor the overall performance of systems to assess the need for updates, upgrades, enhancements, preventive maintenance and new systems, and recommend options for upgrading and improving the performance of systems.
  • Ability to plan and communicate the steps needed to deliver a defined outcome.
  • Ability to evaluate and document the business case for a defined initiative.
  • Ability to view overall business priorities and redefine own and team's priorities in line with expectations and objectives.
  • Ability to ensure the most urgent and important needs of the business are achieved.
  • Ability to summarize technical information into a format suitable for senior management
  • Reporting without losing the essence of the information.
  • Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.
