Job highlights--Network Administrator
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to manage and oversee the network infrastructure and IT systems across our 65+ senior living locations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication, data security, and the smooth operation of technology services at multiple facilities. In addition to network administration, the role will encompass general IT support, system troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and user training for staff across all sites in conjunction with other members of the IT team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES--Network Administrator
Network Administration:
  • Network Knowledge: This position will work extensively with Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti networks. Previous work/knowledge is imperative.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless networks, and VPN connections across 65+ locations, ensuring secure and efficient communication across the organization.
  • Network Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect data, devices, and network infrastructure from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities (e.g., firewalls, anti-virus, encryption) across the enterprise.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation of network infrastructure for all locations.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for the entire network, ensuring regular backups and data restoration procedures are in place for all locations.
IT Support & Troubleshooting:
  • User Support: Provide remote and on-site technical support to staff and residents across all locations, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Hardware Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of computer hardware, printers, and other office equipment across all locations.
  • Software Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and update software applications, operating systems, and security patches on devices across all locations.
  • Help Desk Management: Manage and escalate IT support tickets from multiple locations, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
General IT Responsibilities:
  • Technology Integration: Work with leadership to integrate new technologies, including hardware and software solutions, that improve operational efficiency across the entire senior living network.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation for network infrastructure, IT systems, inventory of hardware, and software licenses for all locations.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all IT systems comply with relevant regulations and best practices, including HIPAA, data privacy laws, and senior living industry standards across multiple sites.
  • Training & Education: Lead or facilitate IT training sessions for staff at all locations, educating them on basic IT usage, security protocols, and best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Stay current with new technologies and innovations in networking, cybersecurity, and IT systems, particularly as they apply to senior living environments across multiple locations.
  • Assist with the procurement of IT equipment and software for the entire organization, ensuring it aligns with the needs of each location.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues or upgrade infrastructure at various locations.
  • Travel to different facilities as needed for on-site support, installations, and troubleshooting.

Requirements
Requirements--Network Administrator
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in network administration and IT support, with a focus on managing IT systems across multiple locations. Previous knowledge and work experience with Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti networks is required.
  • Certifications: Network+ (CompTIA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in managing network protocols, routing, and switching (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN) across multiple locations.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and networking issues for a multi-location environment.
    • Working knowledge of SQL.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and best practices.
    • Experience with cloud-based services
    • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and managing sensitive healthcare data.
    • Strong project management skills for overseeing IT initiatives across 65 locations.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
Physical Requirements--Network Administrator
  • Ability to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment, hardware, and other IT assets (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work both on-site at different locations and remotely, depending on the needs of the team.
