Gejits Infotech Inc I slooking for a Network Engineer for overseeing, monitoring, and maintaining the State Network''''''''s operations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. The Network Engineer will work within  Bureau of Engineering and support network operations, voice and data communications, infrastructure optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

This role requires a strong technical background in networking, telephony infrastructure, VoIP technologies, and network operations, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Operations & Monitoring
  • Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and reliability of the State Network.
  • Utilize Network Monitoring and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to identify and respond to operational issues.
  • Manage alerts, incidents, and tickets generated through monitoring systems and Network Operations Center (NOC) ticketing platforms.
  • Analyze network performance and implement configuration changes and optimizations as needed.
  • Monitor and assist in reporting network and system issues to ensure maximum performance and uptime.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve voice and data network issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide timely updates and status reports to stakeholders regarding network performance, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Support network planning, configuration, optimization, and operational improvement initiatives.
Security & Compliance
  • Ensure the security and integrity of deployed network applications and services.
  • Adhere to organizational security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in security reviews and incident response activities as required.
Documentation & Project Support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for network configurations, procedures, troubleshooting activities, and project deliverables.
  • Support business initiatives from a voice and data networking perspective.
  • Participate as a project team member and occasionally serve as a project lead.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior technical staff when required.
Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor''''''''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in:
    • Telephony infrastructure
    • Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) implementations
    • Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking
    • Call center technologies
    • Network operations and monitoring
Technical Skills
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Understanding of SIEM platforms and operational monitoring processes.
  • Strong knowledge of voice and data networking concepts.
  • Experience with network/system planning, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
