Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Telecom Administrator - Network & Infrastructure.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Administrator to oversee the planning, installation, and maintenance of our telecommunications infrastructure. This is a supervisory role responsible for managing telecom staff and ensuring reliable connectivity across the organization.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and mentor a team of telecom and networking technicians
* Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of low voltage wiring systems, including voice, data, and structured cabling
* Administer and maintain enterprise wireless (Wi-Fi) networks, including access point deployment, coverage planning, and performance optimization
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across wired and wireless environments
* Develop and enforce standards for cabling, network equipment, and telecom infrastructure
* Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders on telecom projects
* Manage equipment procurement, inventory, and lifecycle planning
* Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations for low voltage installations
* Produce documentation including network diagrams, cabling records, and project reports
REQUIREMENTS:
* Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Network+, BICSI, CCNA, or equivalent)
* 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience working in a supervisory or lead capacity
* Demonstrated experience with low voltage wiring (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, coax)
* Strong background in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)
* Hands-on experience deploying and managing enterprise Wi-Fi systems (Cisco, Aruba, Ubiquiti, or similar)
* Strong communication and project management skills
Preferred:
* Experience with VoIP phone systems
* Familiarity with building infrastructure and construction coordination
* Knowledge of NEC low voltage code requirements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
