Job Summary:
Lucayan Technology Solutions LLC is a Veteran Owned Small Business that provides integrated Information Technology solutions for government customers. They are seeking a Network Administrator to support the 6th Medical Group at MacDill Air Force Base, responsible for maintaining and securing the enterprise network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Conduct daily network health checks to verify system readiness and availability.
• Monitor network performance, conduct bandwidth analysis, and optimize resource usage.
• Implement DoD cybersecurity requirements (STIGs, ACAS scans, TCNOs) and maintain vulnerability compliance index (VCI) ≤ 3.
• Control user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues; escalate unresolved issues per established SLAs.
• Track and resolve service tickets using DHA ServiceNow and AFNET Remedy systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, SOPs, and security compliance reports.
• Perform firmware updates, patching, and configuration changes for network equipment.
• Support disaster recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) testing.
• Provide support for system integration and testing of upgrades, ensuring Air Force and DHA compatibility.
• Coordinate with vendors and government stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
• Comply with AFOSH (Air Force Occupational Safety and Health) standards and site-specific safety/security requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship (required for CAC and installation access)
• Active Secret Clearance (must be maintained)
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 3+ years of professional experience in network administration
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, subnetting, and routing protocols (OSPF/EIGRP)
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper or equivalent enterprise network hardware
• Proficiency in firewall configuration and security hardening
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and requirements (STIGs, ACAS, RMF)
• Ability to analyze system logs, troubleshoot network outages, and implement corrective actions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CompTIA Security+ (baseline DoD 8570 requirement)
• CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA/CCNP
• Microsoft MCSA/MCSE
• ITIL v4 Foundation
Preferred:
• Prior experience supporting DoD healthcare IT environments (SGSL/SGSI/SGN)
