Completes routine planning, installation, maintenance, inventory, programming and recovery efforts of network cabling, hardware, and associated equipment tomaintaindata and telecommunication technologies.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Future responsibilities willinclude: telephone system administration, equipment quoting andpurchasing, card access systems, etc.

  • Provides technical support for network fiber circuits
  • Reports and documents network fiber, usage, and/or signal conduit routes
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots routine network cabling, hardware issues, user requests, and reports utilizing established diagnostic resources under direct supervision
  • Reviews and provides network maintenance enhancements
  • Writes, reviews, and updates network installation documentation to meet specific operational requests
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for work order responses and specified institutional networking projects and updates to ensure adherence to timelines and quality expectations
  • Installs, configures, maintains, replaces, and monitors routine network cabling, hardware, and system security components
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers on planned installation or emergency recovery activities
