Responsibilities:
• Defines enterprise network architecture aligned with business goals.
• Designs scalable, secure solutions across WAN, LAN, DC and cloud with HLD/LLD.
• Manages both legacy WAN (MPLS/DMVPN) and Cisco SD-WAN environments.
• Ensures stable multi-region connectivity and optimizes traffic performance using Application-Aware Routing.
• Architects hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Implements modern data center fabrics ensuring seamless integration.
• Implements Zero Trust principles with strong segmentation, encryption, and firewall policies.
• Designs and manages Palo Alto firewalls (policies, NAT, VPNs, Panorama) and Zscaler integration.
• Utilizes Cisco Catalyst Center, ThousandEyes, Cisco ISE, Opengear (OOB) for network visibility, proactive monitoring and high availability during outages.
• Drives automation using Python, Ansible and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Builds CI/CD pipelines and promotes intent-based and self-healing networks.
• Establishes standards, conducts design reviews and ensures compliance.
• Mentors teams and acts as a technical SME for key initiatives.
• Leads resolution of complex network issues using deep analysis techniques.
• Optimizes performance and cost through continuous monitoring and tuning.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Deep expertise in Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) components – vManage, vSmart, vBond, OMP, TLOC, BFD.
• Multi-region fabric design and scalability planning
• Expert-level knowledge of BGP (including EVPN), EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, Segment Routing and advanced traffic engineering
• Expertise in Zero Trust Architecture, IPsec, Secure Access (ZTNA), Micro-segmentation and firewall technologies including Palo Alto (policy, NAT, VPN, Panorama) and Zscaler integration
• Hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), VPC/VNet design, multi-cloud connectivity, DC fabric (VXLAN EVPN, ACI)
• Experience with enterprise-grade hardware (Cisco ISR/ASR Router, Catalyst 9000/8000V, Nexus series) and virtualization platforms
• Experience with Cisco wireless (enterprise environments) and OOB management tools like Opengear
• Experience with F5 load balancers, Cisco tools like Catalyst Center & ThousandEyes and monitoring platforms for performance visibility and troubleshooting
• Advanced automation using Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Terraform; CI/CD pipelines for network deployments
• Enterprise network strategy, cost optimization, vendor management, compliance and architectural governance
