Job description

Job Description

We are seeking 1 individuals to support a major network infrastructure replacement and migration project across multiple data closets. This role will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external teams, moving and re-racking network equipment, migrating cabling, coordinating IP address changes, and updating network management and IPAM systems (such as Cisco ISE, Infoblox, and Catalyst Center).

The project is expected to last 6-9 months. Major network configuration work and after-hours cutovers will be handled by the internal network team. These positions will focus on project coordination, physical infrastructure moves, documentation, and migration support during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external contractors/vendors to schedule and execute network closet migrations.
  • Assist with racking, de-racking, and relocating network equipment.
  • Migrate and validate network cabling as part of the infrastructure upgrade.
  • Track assets, cabling, and equipment moves; maintain accurate inventory and documentation.
  • Coordinate IP address changes and verify system functionality following migrations.
  • Update network management systems, including:
    • IPAM platforms (Infoblox or similar)
    • Network Access Control solutions (Cisco ISE or similar)
    • Network monitoring and management tools (Catalyst Center or equivalent)
  • Provide migration support during normal business hours and coordinate handoffs for after-hours cutover activities.
  • Communicate effectively with network, server, application, operations, and clinical/business IT teams to minimize service disruptions.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting after migrations to validate connectivity, cabling integrity, system access, and overall functionality.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, labels, schedules, change records, and rollback plans.
Qualifications
  • Experience supporting network infrastructure projects and migrations.
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, structured cabling, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network management and IPAM tools is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and perform physical equipment moves as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
