Job description


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in the general management and network duties including: a. LAN/WAN installation, implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and management in a quickly-evolving network topology b. Deploying and troubleshooting Network configurations c. Perform monitoring and reporting on network usage as required d. Participate in the daily operation of the company's network and telecom infrastructure e. Work with network monitoring tools, Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco Meraki f. Design and perform network and security audits g. Network backup and recovery and ensure data integrity for critical data
  2. Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability.
  3. Create, maintain, and update documentation of the networking infrastructure.
  4. Responsible for 2nd & 3rd level support on infrastructure issues.
  5. Provide guidance to staff regarding work procedures, technical issues, work priorities, and special requests from regions.
  6. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  7. Help design and implement a disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers, and software applications.
  8. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
  9. Conduct research and provide recommendations on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development.
  10. Preferred but not required knowledge of the following: VMWare, Symantec, Radio Communications, Physical Security Solutions, Microsoft Teams

Requirements
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum of two to five (2-5) years of progressive experience in network management, including knowledge of routing protocols, layer 2 switching, spanning tree protocol, network design, troubleshooting, and BGP routing.
  3. Experience reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
  4. Background in troubleshooting networking products.
