Network Team Manager/ISSO

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • As the Network Support Team Manager for the Fort Carson MTC, you will oversee all aspects of communications and network functions ICW MTC Authority To Operate (ATO) standards. Serves as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the MTC leading all contractor efforts in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity

  • Coordinates with outside agencies and other III Corps MTC sites.

  • Enforces communications architecture standards and cybersecurity for communications equipment, implements IA processes, and supervises the installing of equipment and circuitry in support of distributed training exercises.

  • Manages all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support with communications planners at outside agencies (MCTP, GSC, JS-J7, etc.), other simulation facilities MTCs, NEC, and participating tactical units.

  • Plans for the distribution of data, voice, and VTC over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks and approved connections to tactical networks.

  • The MTC Network Manager provides oversight to the contractor system administrators for NIPRNET and SIPRNET.

  • At the Fort Carson MTC, you will work with a dedicated team of professionals who are focused on creating a realistic and user-friendly training environment for the 4th Infantry Division and tenant units on Fort Carson. You will resolve unique challenges every week!

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • Required Experience: Background of at least ten (10) years experience in Network Architecture design and implementation.

  • Required Technical Skills:

    • Possess advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on the Microsoft server platform, switch and firewall configuration

    • A strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies

    • Knowledge of specific product lines (Cisco, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, and Tripwire)

    • Must fully understand the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation process and Cyber Security requirements

    • Department of the Army IAM Level 1 and Computing Environment Certifications

  • Certifications: DoD Approved Baseline Certification as IAT Level II in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M. (Security+ CE

  • Security Clearance Level: Must possess a SECRET clearance

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • A personal drive to lead a team of dedicated network professionals, providing purpose, motivation, and direction

    • Detailed understanding of the Armys information systems security program

    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills; possess strong skills working with Government customer on network authority to operate (ATO)

  • Preferred Skills: Previous Army leadership and/or staff experience is strongly preferred.

  • Location: On-site at Fort Carson, Colorado Mission Training Complex

The likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $134,366. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
