Network Engineer

Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
We are seeking experienced Network Engineers to support network infrastructure projects within a manufacturing and plant environment. This role involves hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise networking equipment across office and plant floor locations.
Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial environments and wearing required PPE, including steel-toed boots and other plant safety gear.
Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and install network infrastructure equipment including:
    • Routers
    • Switches
    • Wireless Access Points
    • Voice Gateways
    • UPS systems
  • Support break-fix, moves, adds, and changes activities
  • Perform cabling, terminations, rack mounting, and patch panel installations
  • Participate in network infrastructure deployment projects
  • Conduct site surveys and assist in developing Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Create and maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
  • Troubleshoot Ethernet, TCP/IP, fiber-optic, and structured cabling issues
  • Work collaboratively with project and infrastructure teams
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Ethernet LAN topologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with TCP/IP protocols
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points
    • Category 5e and Category 6 cabling
    • Fiber-optic cabling and troubleshooting
    • Cisco ISE
    • SolarWinds network management tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for network documentation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and project coordination abilities
  • Experience creating SOWs for networking projects
Work Environment
  • Industrial/plant environment
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in manufacturing/plant floor conditions
  • PPE required in certain areas:
    • Safety glasses
    • Hard hats
    • Steel-toed/metatarsal boots
    • Long sleeve shirts
    • Specialized FR/Arc-proof clothing where required
  • Ability to lift and install networking equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License required
