Job description

Infrastructure Coordinator 

Location: Boston, MA | Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Contract: 12 months | Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week

Role Summary

Seeking an Infrastructure Coordinator to manage network, telecommunications, and structured cabling projects from initiation through completion. The role will coordinate internal IT teams, Facilities, business departments, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple network, telecom, and structured cabling projects.

  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and implementation plans.

  • Manage vendors, subcontractors, RFPs, bids, contracts, and installations.

  • Coordinate fiber, copper, coax, LAN, VoIP, CATV, CCTV, and related infrastructure projects.

  • Review blueprints, construction documents, AutoCAD drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Prepare RFPs, project documentation, status reports, and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA 568B, IEEE, and university standards.

  • Coordinate construction, renovation, technology relocation, and network expansion projects.

  • Troubleshoot issues, manage risks, track project progress, and escalate when required.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience.

  • Strong background in network infrastructure, structured cabling, and telecommunications.

  • RCDD preferred; inactive RCDD or BICSI Installer/Technician certification acceptable.

  • Hands-on knowledge of fiber, copper, coax, LAN, and telecom infrastructure.

  • Experience with RFPs, vendor management, estimating/budgeting, and construction coordination.

  • Ability to read blueprints/construction documents and use AutoCAD.

  • Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • Higher education or construction experience is a plus.
