Job description

Job Title: Network Engineer

Clearance Required: Top Secret SCI clearance

Location: Fort Belvoir

The Leidos Defense Group has an opening for a Network Engineer supporting the TENCAP program at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your network engineering expertise to help advance Army TENCAP's mission of integrating national, commercial, and tactical ISR capabilities into operational Army systems.

In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize network architectures that enable the flow of critical intelligence data across multiple platforms. You will work alongside systems, network, and cybersecurity engineers to ensure resilient, secure, and highperformance network solutions that directly support Army ISR modernization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Network Engineer and technical authority for network design, integration, and performance.
  • Maintain and evolve network architecture, technical baselines, and overall network performance.
  • Collaborate with systems and network engineering teams to meet technical performance requirements and mission objectives.
  • Support coordination of network requirements, hardware and software design, and full verification and validation activities.
  • Design and implement network infrastructure supporting ISR data flows and integration with existing intelligence platforms and networks.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and engineering reports supporting the TENCAP mission.
  • Provide expert recommendations on information system design, integration and test, performance analysis, administration, security, and policy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10-13 years.
  • Experience with ISR systems, satellite communications, or intelligence networks (highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (preferred).
  • Seniorlevel expertise in networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft/Linux, VPN, crypto, etc.; specific qualifications TBD).
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a senior technical authority, network engineering leader, and trusted advisor in complex mission environments.
