Join our team as an Engineering Supervisor! As an Engineering Supervisor at Riderwood Village , you will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical-related systems within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective operations of all engineering processes and systems. You will be leading a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders will be essential to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.

In this role, you will be in charge of planning, organizing, and coordinating engineering projects to meet deadlines and quality standards. You will need to have a deep understanding of mechanical systems, processes, and technologies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing data, and addressing any issues or bottlenecks will be part of your daily responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement within the engineering department. How you will make an impact

  • Carry out company policy and duties as directed by the Facility Manager.
  • Supervise and train the engineering staff in the safe and efficient operation of the Central Plant and Energy Management Systems.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance and major maintenance of Central Plant Machinery.
  • Supervise and train the HVAC mechanics to do preventative maintenance, major maintenance, and emergency calls on all HVAC equipment campus-wide.
  • Responsible for the formulation and implementation of energy savings operations.
  • Formulate a "sequence of operations" to best utilize the central plant machinery.
  • Maintain proper and adequate inventory of spare parts.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operation and supervision of multi-boiler and multi-chiller installations required
  • Knowledge of computerized energy management systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience preferred
  • Stationary Engineer license preferred
  • Valid driver's license is required if operating Community vehicles
  • AFE Certified Professional Supervisor (CPS) certification within one year of hire.
  • EPA 608 Universal certification within one year of hire.
  • NFPA 70E certification within one year of hire.
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification within 1 year of hire
