Job description

HOURS: Monday - Friday

PAY: $100,000 + based on experience

REPORTS TO: VP Information Technology

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

WORK FROM HOME STATUS: Eligible

After a period of in-person training and time working onsite with your team, this role has the option to work from home (in WI only at this time). In general, the training timeframe tends to be 1-4 weeks. Note that there will be situations when someone may choose or be asked to return onsite which would be coordinated and scheduled in advance.

We work with businesses and organizations of all kinds to provide them with personalized promotional products. As a network administrator, you’ll work within the information technology team to ensure the network remains accessible, productive and secure.

You’ll also work with the system administrator, information security specialist and VP IT to maintain and enhance the network and systems. Additionally, you’ll work with the IT support team to help troubleshoot complex issues.

Here’s what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.
  • Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, and networking components.
  • Support and enhance the 4imprint network by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure security through firewall management, network segmentation, VPN access, patching, vulnerability management, and access controls.
  • Administer and support on-premises infrastructure, including hypervisors, virtual machines, storage systems, switches, wireless networks, and system management tools.
  • Manage backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity and data protection.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to support integrations, deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Document infrastructure standards, configurations, and processes while staying current on emerging technologies and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
    • Applicants with equivalent, relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 3-7+ years of experience infrastructure engineering
  • Cybersecurity experience – using appropriate techniques and best practices to implement technology solutions in a safe, secure manner.
  • Practical experience with networking fundamentals – switching, routing, VLANs, firewalling, VPNs.
  • Experience with shared storage systems – RAID, LUN/volume creation and management.
  • Experience with hypervisors/virtualization – support physical infrastructure, create/manage VMs and supporting technologies.
  • Microsoft, Cisco or Palo Alto Network certifications is a plus.
