Job description

As a Network Engineer within our Advanced Solutions Team, you will work closely with a cross-function group of teams at ALLO and will play a critical role in designing, implementing and safeguarding our clients' IT networks and systems by delivering industry-leading security solutions tailored to their unique needs. You will work in a fast-paced environment where you'll design, implement, manage and troubleshoot network security architectures, continuously monitor for threats, and provide guidance to mitigate risks. This position emphasizes collaboration with clients to deliver complex network and security solutions, proactive threat hunting, and real-time incident response to ensure optimal security for a diverse portfolio of organizations.
This role will involve designing and implementation solutions across multiple client environments simultaneously, leveraging advanced tools and systems to detect and mitigate potential threats, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. As a key member of the team, you will also drive service enhancements, hardware reviews, client reporting, and process improvement to enhance our security service offerings.
  • Client Solution Delivery: Design, deploy, and maintain robust network and security architectures for multiple client environments, including FortiGate firewalls, secure layer 2 switching solutions, access management, and Wi-Fi implementations.
  • Security Expertise & Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert in network security, providing guidance to clients on security posture, industry best practices, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Threat Management: Stay updated on emerging threats and attack vectors. Continuously monitor client network health and availability, identify service trends, and lead incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Service Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security service offerings by assisting with service enhancements, hardware reviews, client reporting, and internal process refinement.
  • Project & Priority Management: Manage multiple conflicting priorities and special projects, consistently meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work closely with internal teams and assist with cross-training colleagues. Document and provide training to clients and teammates when new policies or procedures are implemented.
  • Operational Excellence: Occasionally work outside normal business hours to oversee client maintenance windows and participate in on-call support to maintain 24/7 service availability

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Fortinet NSE 4 or Fortinet Certified Professional certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and/or enterprise IT environment.
  • Proven experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls and other security solutions for external clients.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, make critical decisions, and communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication, including presentations and facilitation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • A high-energy, engaging demeanor with a commitment to service excellence and continuous self-improvement.
