Network Engineer
Contract Duration: 2 years
Rate: $17-18/hr
Description:
Position supports the Network Modernization Project at Allina. To include staging and installing network equipment during and after hours.
- Ability to rack, stack, cable, and label network equipment in accordance with data center and wiring standards
- Ability to read and follow network diagrams, installation guides, and change management documentation
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate hardware, configuration, and connectivity issues
- Comfortable working independently on-site or as part of a coordinated deployment team
- Ability to lift and handle network equipment (typically up to 40-50 lbs) and work in data centers or wiring closets
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer or company sites as required
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to following procedures and documentation standards
- Ability to perform under scheduled maintenance windows and time-sensitive deployments
- Professional demeanor when working in customer or production environments
Hours will vary because that role will be tasked with daytime work but also will need to be able to perform after hours cutovers too
