Job description

Reporting to the Network Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for defining the standards and network architecture comprised of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancing devices, wireless equipment, and software-defined networking services.

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience configuring and installing network infrastructure
  • CCNP required (CCIE preferred)
  • Knowledge of Quality of Service, IPSec, Multicast and load balancing techniques are also essential
  • Experience designing and implementing multi-site converged networks with a distributed architecture
  • Ability to design enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and static routes
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues (LAN and WAN)
  • Demonstrated history of leading strategic initiatives and guiding technical teams in delivery
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders and program teams on a daily basis and in a professional manner
  • Motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment

Required Technical Skills:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager experience
  • Cisco Nexus experience
  • Cisco routing and switching experience
  • Cisco Meraki experience in a retail / office environment is preferred
  • Cisco security experience preferred, including ASA, Umbrella, ISE, Router security (VPN and ACL), and Switch security (DHCP snooping, Source-Guard)
  • F5 application delivery and Palo Alto experience preferred
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and implementation
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot multi-site network configurations

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position requires 3 days a week on-site at the company's Headquarters based in Marietta, GA.
  • Will include network design documentation to satisfy project requirements
  • Timely reporting of progress to project management in an Agile environment
  • Must enjoy learning new and innovative technologies and challenge the status quo
  • Other responsibilities as directed
