Job description

The opportunity: Associate, Global Network Banking

Being part of HSBC in Ireland, you’ll help evolve and grow our business.

You’ll join our Corporate & Institutional Banking team, partnering with large corporations to support complex needs like international growth, risk management and tailored banking solutions. In this role within Global Network Banking (Ireland), you’ll manage a diverse client portfolio, split across inbound subsidiary relationships (direct ownership) and Regional Treasury Centre (RTC) clients (supporting senior coverage bankers). The RTC clients primarily encompasses large US headquartered clients based in Ireland with an international treasury remit.

What you’ll do:

You’ll help grow revenues sustainably by deepening relationships, improving client connectivity, and progressing opportunities within risk appetite. You’ll also build product and execution expertise across HSBC’s global network—an excellent platform for developing as a coverage banker.

In this role you will:

  • Manage inbound client relationships and day-to-day engagement across our product suite and international network
  • Support RTC coverage teams on key strategic international relationships to originate new business opportunities.
  • Identify and progress opportunities across payments, trade finance, lending and markets
  • Coordinate credit, legal and end to end deal execution with partners and control teams.
  • Prepare high-quality client materials, briefings and presentations and support in person client meetings.
  • Manage risk, credit, KYC and operational requirements to agreed timelines.

  • Relationship management skills with senior client stakeholders
  • Broad corporate banking capability (generalist coverage mindset)
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
  • Experience supporting or running transaction execution and “flow” activity
  • Ability to work across teams (product, risk, credit analysis, KYC, compliance)
  • Strong attention to detail for client materials and credit documentation
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Problem-solving approach

The pay range for this role is 65,000 € - 80,000 €
