Job Description:

We are seeking a Red Team Close Access Network Capability/Wi-Fi Developer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Cyber Assessment Red Team (DCART) through the design, development, integration, and validation of wireless and proximity-enabled access capabilities used during authorized red team assessments.

This position is a development-focused role responsible for creating mission-tailored tooling, embedded access platforms, and wireless exploitation capabilities in support of close access operations conducted by DCART operators.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop wireless access capabilities in support of authorized red team assessments

  • Develop proximity-enabled initial access tooling for:

    • Enterprise WiFi environments

    • 802.1X-authenticated networks

    • WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise infrastructure

  • Build and maintain embedded access platforms (e.g., Raspberry Pi-based devices)

  • Develop and modify payload delivery mechanisms for wireless deployment

  • Create tooling to support:

    • Credential interception

    • Authentication relay

    • Wireless-based network pivoting

  • Integrate wireless capabilities with approved C2 frameworks

  • Support vulnerability validation against:

    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)

    • Microsoft Defender for Identity (MDI)

    • Army Unified Directory Service (AUDS)

  • Conduct development, testing, and validation within DCART lab environments

  • Provide technical reach-back support to operational teams during assessments

  • Document developed capabilities in accordance with DCART SOPs

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Active Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) clearance

  • 2-5 years of experience in: Offensive tool development, Wireless exploitation development, Network security research

  • Experience developing in: Python, C / C++, Go

  • Experience working within Linux-based development environments

  • Familiarity with: 802.11 wireless protocols and Enterprise authentication mechanisms

  • Special requirements: Must pass the Advanced Cyber Red Team developer aptitude test

  • Must be able to travel 15%- OCONUS and CONUS locations

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience developing: Wireless exploitation frameworks, Embedded access platforms, Authentication interception tooling

  • Familiarity with: EDR detection methodologies and Identity-based detection mechanisms

  • Prior experience supporting: DoD Red Team and CPT Threat Emulation Element

  • Certifications such as:

    • CWNA / CWNE

    • OSCP

    • GPEN
