Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Controller to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical communications and network operations for the Department of Defense. This position is on-site at Scott AFB, IL or Hill AFB, UT. The Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Controller will provide 24x7 global DoD Information Network (DoDIN) operations and incident management support for DISA, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for warfighters and national leaders. This role directly supports national defense missions by maintaining and protecting the backbone of DoD communications worldwide. Responsibilities for the Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Controller include: • Monitor, track, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues across a live, global DoD network using enterprise monitoring tools • Perform circuit troubleshooting using router commands, loops, alarms, and error analysis • Create, update, and manage incident tickets using Remedy, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution • Escalate incidents as needed while coordinating with engineering and operations teams • Support fault management, alarm surveillance, performance monitoring, and service restorations in a 24/7 environment Required Qualifications for the Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Controller include: • 3+ years of relevant networking or NOC operations experience (additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree) • Experience with networking technologies such as routers, switches, crypto devices, LAN/WAN, and IP-based transport networks • Familiarity with technologies including Cisco, Juniper, JRSS, SATCOM, DWDM, Optical Switching, MSPP, or Promina • High school diploma required • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) required at start date • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment Compensation for the Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Controller include: • Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 depending on experience • Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
