Position Summary

The Corporate Controller serves as the primary financial leader for Cash Depot and related entities, overseeing all Accounting and Treasury functions across the organization. This role leads a growing team of 15+ accounting and treasury professionals while ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial reporting and treasury management information to senior leadership.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller partners closely with executive leadership, including the CEO and CFO, to support strategic planning, drive profitable growth, strengthen financial controls, and lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong financial leader who can balance strategic decision-making with hands-on execution while developing high-performing teams and maintaining a deep understanding of the company's operations and financial systems.

Specific Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and publication of financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and compliant with reporting standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of US GAAP, accounting best practices, and applicable IRS regulations.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and support ongoing forecasting activities.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to support profitable growth.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Oversee Cash Depot's nationwide treasury network, including banking relationships, vault partners, armored carriers, licensing requirements, and auditors.
  • Maintain strong internal controls surrounding cash management, financial transactions, and working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants and provide updates to banking partners as needed.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and treasury professionals.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and evaluate team members.
  • Identify training opportunities and build future leaders within the organization.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives across accounting and treasury functions.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are documented and maintained.
  • Coordinate annual external audits and partner with auditors throughout the engagement process.
  • Assist with tax planning activities and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and recommend improvements that support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting roles.
  • Previous leadership and direct management experience required.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop teams.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, treasury management, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing audits, budgets, forecasting, cash management, and financial compliance activities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Ability to understand complex business operations and drive financial improvements through data and analysis.

Skills & Qualifications

  • CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, reporting, and forecasting skills.
  • Experience leading Accounting and Treasury functions in a multi-location organization.
  • Ability to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and accounting best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across departments and partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs while driving continuous improvement and process automation initiatives.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and improving standard operating procedures and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a hands-on leadership style.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations and project execution.
