Job Summary:
SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is hiring a Network Vulnerability Analyst to support the AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB. The role involves managing security devices, monitoring network traffic, conducting vulnerability assessments, and providing IT management support to ensure the security and stability of networks and systems.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices to include IDS/IPS, LogRhythm Enterprise Security Manager, ACAS and associated Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment/configurations.
• Assist in development and documentation of sensor processes and checklists.
• Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities.
• Assist Cybersecurity to develop countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive actives and secure networks.
• Monitor network traffic to determine system vulnerabilities and required fixes.
• Apply established network security procedures, logs, and make recommendations for correcting network security incidents. Coordinate the escalation of security issues requiring detailed analysis.
• Conduct network security monitoring and Enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning.
• Perform patching of authorized DOD network vulnerability scanning tools and infrastructure (to include Red Hat Linux, Nessus scanner application, and Tenable Security Center application).
• Provide reports and metrics during contingency operations and in support of named network defense/cybersecurity operations and exercises.
• Assist in completion of network defense/cybersecurity statistical and trend data and operational event reporting when requested.
• Coordinate and track Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alerts (IAVA). Review and report compliance and develop POA&M.
• Track AFCENT vulnerability and patch compliance and provide trending analysis.
• Provide vulnerability assessments.
• Use vulnerability toolsets to determine networks and systems security weaknesses and shortfalls.
• Research and coordinate vulnerability finding with Security Analysis to provide detailed fix actions.
• Coordinate with other Counter Access Team (CAT) team to ensure latest known vulnerabilities are properly identified and corrected.
• Provide General IT Management support.
• Provide General Networking support.
• Provide LAN support.
• Provide WAN Enterprise support.
• Provide technical general O&M support as required.
• Provide documentation/reports support as required.
• Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
• Provide functional training support as required.
• Provide OCONUS deployment/TDY travel support as required.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant experience; or, 5 or more years’ relevant experience.
• Firewall and ACAS experience
• Ability to provide technical summary of findings in accordance with established reporting procedures.
• Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server using server images.
• Experience with implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
• CompTia Network +CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certification
• ITIL Foundation - Candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
