Director of Finance

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead our accounting and finance functions and help guide the organization's continued success.

Position Overview

The Director of Finance will oversee all accounting and finance operations, providing strategic financial leadership while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of day-to-day financial functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys both the strategic and operational sides of the business, working closely with ownership and senior leadership to support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

        Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management

        Lead the month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

        Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning

        Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to ownership and senior leadership

        Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and COGS analysis specific to production and case goods

        Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash flow planning

        Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific reporting

        Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other outside financial partners

        Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies

        Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting and finance team

        Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and hospitality leadership on financial matters

Qualifications

        Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred

        8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles

        Experience in the wine, beverage, or related production/manufacturing industry strongly preferred

        Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management

        Proficiency with accounting/ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks

        Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning and reporting tools a plus

        Proven ability to lead and develop a team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations

        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with ownership and cross-functional leaders

        High degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information
