Application Packaging Engineer

100% Remote

MUST WORK ON DIRECT W2 (no C2C)

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Application Packaging Engineer to support a large Omnissa Horizon environment. This individual will be responsible for preparing, packaging, testing, and deploying enterprise applications using App Volumes while ensuring compatibility within a VDI environment.

• Package and deploy applications using Omnissa/VMware App Volumes.
• Analyze application requirements, dependencies, registry settings, and installation processes.
• Test and validate applications before production deployment.
• Troubleshoot packaging, compatibility, and deployment issues.
• Work with application owners to gather requirements and deployment needs.
• Support application upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Create and maintain packaging documentation and standards.

• 5+ years of Application Packaging experience.
• Strong experience with App Volumes.
• Experience supporting Omnissa/VMware Horizon environments.
• Deep understanding of Windows OS, MSI packaging, registry, and file system structures.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience troubleshooting application deployment issues.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
