Job Title: Truck Upfitting Technician

As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and motivated Truck Upfitting Technician to join our team.
Position Overview: As a Truck Upfitting Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming standard commercial vehicles into customized, specialized trucks tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Your expertise in installing and integrating various accessories and equipment, such as small items like ladder racks, toolboxes, lighting systems, and interior shelving, to full truck builds including dump bodies, service bodies, hooklifts and cranes, will contribute to creating exceptional workspaces that enhance productivity and functionality.
Responsibilities:

· Perform installations, modifications, and repairs to transform commercial vehicles according to client specifications and industry standards.
· Install and integrate various upfitting components, including ladder racks, shelving systems, toolboxes, lighting systems, electrical wiring, safety equipment, and other customizations.
· Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of client requests.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the upfitting process.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care and use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:

· Background in automotive repair / accessory installation
· Must have own tools
· Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in vehicle installations, modifications, and repairs.
· Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in the upfitting industry.
· Familiarity with electrical systems, including wiring, connectors, and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to vehicle upfitting.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
· Preferred to have proven experience as a Truck Upfitting Technician or in a similar role within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or upfitting industry.
