Job Description:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical problems and make recommendations for improvement. Read and interpret electrical drawings. Operate electrical testing equipment. Inspect electrical work for safety. Comply with all safety regulations. Work independently and as part of a team. Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes and standards. This is a Monday-Friday position so local talent is preferred.
Qualifications:
โข Minimum Journeyman electrician license
โข 3-5 years oilfield experience preferred, with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
โข Electrically qualified per OSHA 1910.269 up to 600V
โข High School diploma or GED
โข Clean Motor Vehicle Report as a truck will be provided
โข Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in Electrical distribution systems
โข Capable of installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels and components, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits
โข Capable of understanding mechanical relay logic and ladder logic
โข Capable of programming simple ladder logic and VFD's
โข Proficient at reading electrical installation drawings. Circuit schedules, plans, area class, motor schematics and wiring diagrams
โข Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting electrical equipment
โข Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards.
โข Able to safely supervise electrical contract work
โข Able to effectively interface with electrical engineers and energy providers
โข Able to perform preventive maintenance on low voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear, breakers, etc.
โข Good computer skills
โข Team oriented, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
โข Proficient in working with 4160 VAC systems
โข Skilled in overhead power line troubleshooting
โข Comprehensive understanding of Motor Control Center (MCC) operations
โข Knowledgeable in substation functionality and procedures
โข Knowledgeable in synchronous motors troubleshooting and operation
