Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Eureka, California.
This role supports a dedicated mammography department performing both screening and diagnostic breast imaging in a high-volume setting.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for Mammography Technologists experienced in advanced imaging and biopsy procedures who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with consistent patient volume.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
13-week contract
5x8 Day shifts
08:00-17:30
Approximately 30 patients per day
Adult and geriatric population
Block scheduling available
No call required
No floating required
COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography
Perform 3D mammography imaging
Assist with stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations
Assist with fine needle aspirations
Operate Hologic 3D and Affirm BX equipment
Maintain imaging quality and patient safety standards
Document care using Epic EMR
UNIT OVERVIEW
Acute care hospital setting
150 beds
Dedicated mammography department
2 imaging rooms
High daily patient volume
Epic charting system

Requirements

Minimum 1 year Mammography Technologist experience required
BLS certification required
ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
Active California license required prior to start
Experience with 3D Mammography required
Experience with diagnostic and screening mammograms required
Experience assisting with fine needle aspiration required
Experience assisting with needle localization required
Experience performing stereotactic biopsy required
Experience with Hologic 3D and Affirm BX equipment required
Epic charting experience required
RTO must be submitted with application
Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays
Important Notes:
No call and no float requirements
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Locals accepted (lower bill rate applies within 50-mile radius)
2 supervisory references required covering 1 year within last 3 years
Tier 3 compliance required
