This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with utility plant and distribution system serving the UNMC/Neb Med campus.
Starts, operates, and shuts down boilers and their auxiliaries, chillers and their auxiliaries, generators and their auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room.
Responsible for the for the operation and monitoring of the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system serving the UNMC/Neb Med campus.
Directs the activities and provides training to the Utility Operator I.
Performs preventative and routine maintenance as assigned.

Experience in operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers and related equipment to include fundamental knowledge of industrial plant chilled water, steam, and electrical systems

Valid motor vehicle operator's license
A valid City of Omaha 3rd, 2nd, or 1st Grade Stationary Engineer license
