To thrive as an NDT Trainee, you should have a fundamental understanding of math, science, and technical principles, often supported by a high school diploma or technical certification. Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods, tools (such as ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle testing equipment), and safety protocols is essential, and entry-level industry certifications like ASNT Level I may be beneficial. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and a willingness to learn are standout soft skills in this role.
